USB Port Issues + Chipset Driver not installing
Hey guys,
So I have a problem that even Alienware "techs" can't solve. For about two weeks anything thats connected to my usb ports will randomly shut down. Now, I have no idea and neither do they apparently. They say that my bios and other drivers were out of date, well that could be so, but as i installed the drivers, all the ones installed except one. The Chipset driver. FIVE different techs tried to install this for me, all of them not being able to and not mentioning it to me. All they say it "Hmm, what does it mean, "System does not meet requirements?"" Shouldn't they be telling me this?! Ok well, since they are not helping at all, I would like to ask you folks.
1) Why would my USB ports not be working properly? I plug in my mouse and keyboard and randomly (not often) they will shut off for 15 - 20 minutes then come back on.
2) Why wont this Chipset Driver install?
3) Why can't dell fix this or train people to fix this properly. Half the time, one of the techs was looking at his manual. (He told me...)
