My USB ports aren't being recognized. When I plug in a portable disc into the USB port, nothing registers. Is there a fix for this? I'm thoroughly unsatisfied with Dell and this will a lesson never to purchase another one, and tell my friends as well!
Grancy, could you make a new post on it's own. With the solution tick by this thread, it appears it has been sorted and people may not look in here and see your post asking for help

You could just check your manual like did. See here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim3100/en/sm/specs0.htm#wp1052310. Under the connector options it indicates usb 2.0.
