USB to Parallel Adapter - Hang Boot
I have a USB to Parallel Adapter cable for connecting an HP LJ4L. I can accomplish a compete install and printer set-up as well as get a test page to print. The problem is that with the adapter plugged into the USB port, the computer hangs on boot and it hangs on shutdown.

(4 usb, 1 par, 1 ser).
It doesn't matter what if anything is plugged into the hub, I cannot power down or start up with it connected... I have to unplug
- once it starts booting I can plug it in and all is well
