This means that ordinary punsters will be able to buy the operating system on November 30 rather than waiting until January 30th, 2007.
Only the more expensive business versions of Vista will be available, but Vole seems to be hoping that there will be SMEs (small medium enterprises) that want to stick their businesses on the bleeding edge.
According to Associated Press, the product will not be on the shelves. Punters will have to speak to a sales representative, with a rolled up trouser leg, and give the appropriate Volish handshake to buy a licence agreement.
Although there is nothing to stop those who want to buy the product for their own use doing the same thing, they will not be able to buy the home versions of the software. The SME edition of Vista will be $499, or $279 as an upgrade.
So it is said, here. µ
