Nope it is not it is a mini tower that needs a monitor mouse and speakers. I assume it needed the external speakers cause they sent it to us that way. I hopefully, will be able to add the image from the account page that has the info for it. Right now I am thoroughly upset with the computer. I returned the graphics card since it was told to me that it would not work by a computer tech here in town. then he said well maybe it would but of no greater speed than it is now. The computer has been having issues since about a week after getting it. The person that gave her to us must not have had very good virus protection cause it was infected, took care of that right off I did, I did. But the lag is not only on Second Life but also when attempting to play LOTRO and the graphics even set to the lowest will not aid in the lag. It lagged in browsers and started spewing the error to turn off all programs, save all open docs and restart the computer since it was having memory issues, understandable but nothing but the computer was turned on. Checking the ram showed the 4GB was in fact showing and no program to actually do a good ram check I took it to mean there might not be an issue. With waiting to find out if the graphics card would/would not work, prior to return of said card, the computer was turned off for only 3 days and when I reconnected the cords/cables it will not boot at all. The computers light comes on showing power but when you hold it in the computer sounds like a car with battery trouble. it whirs twice then nothing. No starting at all so there it sits like a good paper weight. Making her computer less again. I have no clue what to do.

There is the confusion. Your title listed Vostro 320, this is a Vostro 230 sold in May 2011 with a one year warranty. This is not a gaming system. The entry level low profile video cards, 300w power supply, and the ram maximum 4GB limit you.

* Disconnect the rear power cable from the rear of the mini tower
* Lay the tower on its left side
* Remove the cover
* Disconnect the monitor
* Disconnect/reconnect every cable, memory stick, card, etc.
* Replace the cover
* Stand it up
* Reconnect the monitor
* Reconnect the power cord
* Turn the monitor on, then the computer
* What color is the power button? What beep codes?

That is why I added the image, I tend to transpose things from time to time --- sometimes catch it but not always...sorry

I will do what you suggest but not sure when I will get a chance to do so. I do right now have it disconnected totally from the monitor (fact is I put it away) and the power cord is off too.

I did take a peak inside and know how to  seat/unseat the ram and checked the drive and what I think is the cd/dvd drive...the one in the back upper section that has a cable attached to it (also has another hanging from it I suppose to add something in that bay under it.

I then see the HD and it also has its cable connected and another dangling from it for hopefully an additional drive in what appears to be another bay --- is it setup to hold more than 1 HD?

I ask cause I have two other internal drives that are bigger and would like to install those, especially to get my stuff off of them, then use them for storage.

I don't really know anything else inside there and not sure what can be disconnected, can not find an internal view of one to gauge if the cables (those mentioned and another one) are supposed to be connected or dangle waiting for an item.

Is there somewhere to find the actual insides of this computer imaged with labels as to what is what? It looks loads different than any Mac I have owned in the past and that in itself throws me...not too used to PC's yet.

All we have are the Manuals.

I would love if the manual was more forth coming with actual screen shots of the inner computer actually showing you the items as they are connected....for those of us that do not really work on the insides that much. Maybe Dell can look into a more informative, user friendly manual.
