Web Camera Problems.......
Hi,
I have windows XP Home Edition......and i have been running the older version of the Lotigtech web camera all summer and it worked fine.....well then it stopped and would not respond so i downloaded their update studio thing......and now it will only work right after i install the program and when i shut off the computer and turn it on the next day it wont detect the web cam and when i unplug ect.....it still says their is an error....untill i uninstall and reinstall and the circle begins again......is there something im missing??? Can anyone help me out.......

Godslilgurl,
Boot the system to the drivers and utilities CD and test the system with the Dell Customer Diagnostics. You will need to have media in each of the drives. If no problems are reported then the most likely culprit is the software of the system. Try a repair installation of the windows XP software to attempt to clear this problem.

Sounds like a driver issue. Remove all traces of the Logicam. Reload old Logicam driver. You may have a corruption/conflict with another new device.

Try WXP system restore to bring the PC back to a previous configuration. Go back as far as possible.
Other option is to remove ALL devices from the MB except for RAM, optical drive, HD, mouse, monitor, and keyboard. Remove/reload the old Logi driver. Retest system.
