Weird Video Card Problems
Hello all,
Ok, here's the problem. I've got a Dell Dimension 8300 with an ATI RADION 9800 Pro, and recently, some video played during video games has been blurred in the lower portion of the screen. The weird thing is that it's not only limited to video games. It also has happened on the dell boot up screen, and blurs the lower portion of the screen (from about the top third of the Pentium 4 symbol down). I tried installing the latest Catalyst drivers, but they didn't solve anything.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum (DCF).
* Turn off both your computer and the monitor
* Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove both Digital(white connector) and the Analog (blue connector) cables from the back of computer
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating 'Dell - self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background) if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green and the self-test pattern will scroll through the screen continually
* How does it look?

Well, I'm not using a Dell monitor at the moment, so there was not a self test to run. But I still tried it and its still blurred. It worked fine since I got the computer over the summer, but the problem began after a recent crash in which I had to do a system restore

I also tried reinstalling the original ATI drivers that came with the computer, but they didn't help anything.
