What is a bios splash screen?

what is the bios splash screen and how do i get to it? im trying to run a diagnostic for Drive 0 on my PC because it is not being regognised, but the help im reading seems to be based on people who know everything and anything about dell pc's or any pc's for that matter will somone please explain, thankyou

The BIOS splash screen is when you first see the Dell logo when the system is booted up.  I assume that you are trying to run the 90/90 quick hard drive test.  If so press the CTRL + ALT + D keys together when you first see the Dell logo appear.  If that doesn't work then try pressing those keys when the system first starts to power up.  You can click here  for additional information on the 90/90 test from a Dell Knowledge Base article.  If you are still encountering problems then post back with your full Dell model number and whether or not your using a USB keyboard.
