WINDOWS 7 / WINDOWS 8 OPTIPLEX 320
The 320 is low end.
Drivers for the Video are VISTA LEGACY ONLY.
Even with LATEST BIOS 2 GIG DDR2 DIMMS ONLY WORK IN STOT 1 (White Tabs)
Added 2.5 gigs with 1 DIMM OF 2 GIGS and 1 DIMM of 512 Meg.
BIOS Should be updated to latest 1.1.12 (O3201112.EXE)
Reinstalled XP from Scratch.
DOWNLOADED SP3 and ATI Chipset and LEGACY DRIVER.
CHIPSET R134873.EXE
AUDIO R129514.exe
NIC R149798.EXE
VIDEO 10-2_legacy_xp32-64_dd_ccc.exe
I did manage to get the Legacy Vista Drivers to install but DVD playback is choppy at best.
I would recommend an ASUS Silent 5450 or 6450 card to resolve this.
