Windows Explorer problem with images
Every time I want to browse through image files and folders in Windows Explorer it locks up and asks if I want to send an error report to Microsoft. It seems to work fine on other file types though. Just got the computer and migrated my documents over from the old computer. New one is 8200/Windows XP... Anybody have an answer or having similiar problems? Thanks.

I have fixed the specific problem I was having, which dealt with errors when browsing/viewing image files in windows explorer. It sounds like your problem may be a little different though. Anyway, after much research I have found that with XP you cannot assign image file types to open in Adobe Photoshop - this will corrupt windows explorer. I ended up doing a system restore back to day one because even after uninstalling photoshop the problem still existed. I then reinstalled photoshop, but this time when it came to the point during the install where it asks you which file types to assign to photoshop, I selected NONE. I have had no more problems with explorer.
I hope this gives you something to go on. Good luck with your problem.
