Windows XP Upgrade

Question

I have just finished upgrading my computer to XP and now have to reinstall Norton Antivirus. But when I do I keep getting a message that says that one - more files have been marked for deletion. It says to reboot the computer which I have done but that does not work. I have uninstalled all the options that I know are Norton from the add/remove programs area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need NAV 2002 for win XP. Also, did you do a "new install" or just the upgrade? If you "upgraded" then there may be some old NAV files still on your hard drive.

Norton still exists in your PC, manual delete the Norton folder in Program Files. Run regedit, delete any Norton registered that you no long use (to be safe, Export to another location before you delete). Restart your pc and install your norton again.
