Wireless Keyboard Not Working
I have a Dell 8200 running Windows 2000 and just installed a Dell wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse works fine, but the keyboard doesn't. When I first installed it, the keyboard worked, but not the hotkeys. I did a reboot and it advised me to plug in to the usb on the back of the computer (I previously had it plugged into the front usb). I followed the advice and now cannot get the keyboard to respond at all.
I'm not at all sure the software is installing correctly either. When I elect to install, it launches a Soundmax digital audio volume control setup. What's up with that?

I've had some troubles with my wireless Keyboard and mouse too. Two problems I've had are: Dead batterys and the Receiver (That plugs into your computer) was above the keyboard and mouse, which made it so the signals could not be sent and recieved.
So if you are sure that the batteries are new and fresh, and that the receiver is on the same level and no more then 25 ft (Not sure) away, it should work.
If it still does not work, reboot. Still doesn't work, try pressing the green button on the underside of the keyboard, then soon after, the button on the receiver.

P.S. The batteries on the mouse last about 3 months with average 8hrs. a day, 5 days a week usage, and the keyboard about 10months under the same usage. Of course the time the batteries last will go down and up depending on how much you use it.
