Wireless mouse with Pagemaker 6.5

Hi just bought a new Dell Dimension 4700 with XP & the wireless mouse and keyboard package.  The mouse works fine in all programs except Pagemaker 6.5 where the wheel doesn't function.  I have two previous Dell's - one with XP and one with 98 - both have wireless mice and have had no problems using the wheel in Pagemaker.  The last Dell I had, Dimension 8200, had a wireless mouse and keyboard - Dell by Logitech.  The oldest Dell had a Logitech mouse and was recently replaced with a Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard.

With the 4700, I did NOT receive any s/w to go with it.  With all the other mice, I had the same problem if I used the default operating system driver - but once I installed the s/w that came with the mouse or I downloaded from the mfg. website, it seemed to work fine.  I have tried to find s/w for the mouse on Dell's website, but have not had any luck.  The support line said it was not a Microsoft mouse.

I contacted Dell through email support and the only answer I have received back is - your mouse works fine and you have no problem.  Finally they said they aren't trained to answer these types of questions and I should call the support line.

Thanks for any help you can provide.  It is very frustrating trying to use Pagemaker without wheel support.

You probably need a driver. Look in the d/l section.

I have looked under the drivers section and there are no drivers listed for the wireless mouse.
