XPS 400--Need Help Please

I'm new to the Forum so please forgive me if I don't do this correctly.  My 14 yr old daughter has an XPS 400 running Windows XP Media.  It was purchased in 12/05 for her for Christmas, last night she went to power it on and nothing happened.  We haven't had any problems with the computer ever.  I know a "little" about computers so I opened it up, I do have a green light on the mother board, but nothing is running otherwise.  The power light does flash amber/yellow 2 times when I push the power button but that's it.  No fan running or anything.  Could it be my powersupply??  Please help!!

Thank you!

Almost definitely the power supply if the power button light is blinking amber. Any storms or power surges recently?

Yes Matt, we are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have had TONS of crazy weather lately.  I do have it plugged into a surge protector.  I was able to find a powersupply on ebay and purchased it last night.  Should it be something easy for me to replace?  Again I'm no expert on computers, only a little knowledge.  I just know that it belongs to a 14 year old who is going crazy without it!!  Thanks again for any help you can provide me with!!
