XPS M170 - Which memory?

Hi all,   Apologies if this has been asked already, I did use the search but was unable to find a specific answer to the following:   I'm upgrading a Dell XPS M170 from 1GB to 2GB and wondering whether to go for PC2-4200 (CL4) or PC2-5300 (CL5)?   Any help appreciated   Cheers, Adam.

By running the memory synchronous to the FSB (533Mhz) you have the least amount of latency and thus performance is at its best. The PC-5300 runs at 667Mhz while the PC-4200 at 533MHz. So go with the PC-4200.

Hi Chris ad thanks for your reply.   But you didn't really answer my question   Would there be any advantage to me getting PC-5300 instead of PC-4200??   I've already sourced provider thanks.   Cheers, Adam.
