0x0000007e stop error on M17x

Has anyone else experienced the stop error with windows 7 64 bit on the M17x? I can't seem to troubleshoot what's causing it and the BSOD doesn't indicate programs or drivers involved. The only error message is:

The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff80002cc5e89, 0xfffff880009a9998, 0xfffff880009a91f0

I had a problem with my system suddenly dying (sometime a BSOD or just a blackish screen with thin vertical lines). It usually occured when I launched a game I play, but it would also happened while just browsing the web with nothing else going on. I too tired re-installing several times. Initially even the Event Viewer didn't have any helpful info except for a error 41 (kernel power) issue since holding the power button down for a hard reboot was all I could do..

I bought a registery cleaner and when the error occured again i noticed an error about an application not having sufficient access. It turns out this was the IPBusEnum service. It was installed under the TrusterInstaller account but was launched from the local SYSTEM account. The SYSTEM account only had read access.

After digging around on google I found the following forum thread:

http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/28840-event-id-10016-dcom-permissions-error.html

I followed the instructions to reset the IPBusEnum permissions for the local SYSTEM account to full access (basically you need to go ito the registery, find the IPBusEmun entry and right click to get the permissions popup window, make the Admininstraitor account the owner of the service, and give the SYSTEM account full access).

After that, I have not had an problems with my system. It even catches when the video drivers stop working and recovers properly.

Hope it helps.
