5150 Does not power up

I have a 5150, 3.02, 60 gig harddrive......  The charger shows steady green light and so does the power light however it does not power up at all.   Any idea what it could be.....  Video, memory or what.

Reseat the RAM, battery, drives and cards. If it still won't power up, the most likely point of failure is also the most expensive - the system board. If you're out of warranty, you'll soon be facing a $500 repair bill.

I had the same thing happen to my setup. I went through all the system checks and it turned out to be the board. The previous post is correct... I had to eat the $500 bill. Sure hope your still under warranty if that's the issue. Good luck-

I check the Ram and switched hd's. The system boots up to the final screen, then when you press around the battery it occassionally powers off. Any idea about this one?

THanks

"then when you press around the battery it occassionally powers off."

I'm having a similar problem with my 5150. Mine will power off, and back on...but it stays on a black screen and does not boot back up. I'm trying to find a solution and will post if something works.

I think I have found the best thread (50 pages worth!) for the issue I'm having. I suggest reading there for some advice too.
