700M Memory

I just ordered the 700M.  However, I have a question about the memory; the config. I ordered has 256MB DDR SDRAM 1 Dimm (with the 1.6GHz processor, 80GB hard drive...).

Will the 256 mem be OK???  I've heard that I should have more RAM when running Windows XP.  Should I have ordered it with more, ie. 384MB or 512MB??

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

nope. 512 is recommended. xp uses 256 already.

Do you know how easy is to upgrade from 256 given that the machine is already on order??

Also, with just 256, will it simply run slow?  What's the drawback(s)???

Thanks ALOT!!

Hard drives are always slower than primary memory. You've got plenty of space for paging but do you really want to waste that kind of time. Especially, if you're running on a battery.  Too much RAM is never a problem.
