77.72 drivers or 77.24 Go

I have tried alot of different drivers from laptopvideo2go, DELL, and Nvidia to get the best FPS for gaming. To be honest, I always go back to the 77.24 because it seems to be the most stable and compatible for my games. To be honest though, Nvidia drivers are well tested and very stable so if 77.72 works for you, use it. When i used it BF2 seemed to be more buggy. Hope that helps.

I was wondering in terms of fps. I'm looking to get the most possible out of either of these drivers. In the HL2 stress test I got 136.24 fps on the highest settings with the 77.72 drivers but that number varies from test to test. I get great fps in BF2 with them as well. I was wondering if the Go drivers would give me more because they were designed for the GeForce Go cards.

Between these two drivers i never noticed a real useful difference with 3dmark05, both are good drivers. I only use the 77.24 because it gave me a 6pt higher score. The only time I ever noticed larger FPS differences is when I used either an 77.72 Extreme G driver from www.Guru3d.com or you could try any driver at www.laptopvideo2go.com. NGO and Omega at Guru3d also make decent drivers. Even then it was only then a jump from a 3dmark score of 3354(with 77.24) or lower to 3372(Extreme G 77.72) depending on the driver. So only a jump of 18. Some drivers even dipped under 3354 to as low as 3331. The thing about these two sites is that most of these drivers are leaked before they are fully tested and then some modder goes in and tweaks the driver to run with better performance and quality. Sometimes they succeed, somtimes they don't. Also, there is no guarantee that these things won't screw up your computer and i doubt DELL really wants anything other than their drivers in their laptops. Personally, I would stay away from any 80.40 drivers right now, as they seem to be really buggy. If you decide to download from laptop2go make sure you read the downloading and installation directions before you do anything. Really it's just a matter of what works best for you because everyone that uses modded drivers seem to be using something different. Make sure you try each driver with the games you play to make sure they are compatible. Even if you are getting great FPS with the games, run a DVD to make sure video playback is still good because some drivers run one thing well and then screw up another thing. Again, i have tryed alot of different drivers and still just went back with 77.24 because they are the most stable I have found. Both BF2 and HL2 run great with it. Some modded drivers seem to either mess up the shadows on BF2(Extreme g 77.72) or not allow it to play at all. Just experiment, i have never installed a driver that has messed up my 9300 so bad that i couldn't get the old driver back up and running. Good luck.
