Hi,

This morning my laptop fell from not much height and the screen went out of one of its hinges. It is now displaying a white screen everytime its powered on and I can hear 8 beeps.

What do you think is broken? How to solve this problem please?

Hi Kawtharj,

Welcome to Dell Community Forum.

The computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if the LCD cannot display errors or problems. The repetitive beep codes help the user troubleshoot problems with the computer. 8 beeps on the Inspiron N5110 is indicative of LCD Failure.

Check if  your computer has Accidental Damage (Complete Care) coverage on your system. Accidental Damage (Complete Care) covers non-intentional, accidental damage. This includes damages caused by incidents such as spills, drops, electrical surges, and cracked LCDs.

If the system has accidental damage coverage, please contact me through a private message by clicking on my name highlighted in blue. On the next page, click the envelope icon and provide your service tag and contact information (as mentioned below) so that I may access your system records.

  • System Service Tag No.:
  • Registered System Owner's Name:
  • Shipping address:
  • Telephone number/s:
  • Email address:

However, if the system does not have accidental coverage,  then you may contact our Out of Warranty Support at the link below. Check the section under Depot Repair Service.
