8200 Left speaker is not working---HELP

If that is the case then there are two possibilities that come to mind. You might have a lose speaker connection which is located under the palmrest assmebly which might require you to take the assmebly apart.  Or it just might be that the speaker has been blown out.  You can get a new palmrest assembly from Dell Spare Parts.  I don't know the part number but they can find this one for you easily just ask about the Inspiron 8200 palmrest assembly, it costs around 18 USD dollars shipped.  It comes with the Alps touchpad, original silver palmrests, system battery, and both speakers.  If you're still in warranty then I'd have them replace it.

It could be the socket on / or the motherboard also, so log a call if under warranty.

I had done as per your suggestion. It did not work out positive for me. Instead after reassembling the unit, the screen size gets reduced initially on logon (startup screen upto windows loading screen...Desktop screen on it gets to its maximised stage). Could you please help me out here ?
