About upgrading my RAM

Question

Hey everyone

i have Dell N5110 with 4GB RAM,i want to upgrade my laptop to get 8GB so im planning to buy two rams(Kingston 4gb DDR3 1333mhz) so im wondering if this will work and i get 8GB, and if i do self upgrade do i lose warranty?

You can upgrade the memory and the warranty will still cover all the other hardware. Go to Crucial.com to check for the correct memory. If you buy from them, they guarantee it will work. Most of us use crucial for Dell memory.

Welcome to the Community,

Upgrading the RAM does not void the warranty,except that part (RAM modules) wont be covered by the system warranty.

You can upgrade the RAM upto 8GB with DDR3 1333mhz type of RAM which is compatible to your system.8 GB is the maximum memory supported by this system.

If you normally use/open multiple applications at the same time, than CPU usage should come down after upgrading RAM from 4 GB to 8GB.

It only makes a difference if the tasks you are doing demand that RAM. If it's sitting there unused, no difference.

sorry for multi questions, but when i use my computer the CPU usage is like 85+90%(im multi tasker) anyway if i get 8GB will reduce the usage?
