Access BIOS Setup on R17

Hi, I'm trying to access the BIOS setup on the R17 laptop, but cannot, because I can't push F2 when the system starts.

The problem is that you need to push the "Function" or "Fn" key before pressing the button for F2, because pressing the F2 key by itself without the Fn key just adjusts the wifi radio settings when in Windows.  Fn + F2 works fine in Windows itself for me, so the problem isn't the keys.

How do you get the keyboard to say F2 before the system boots?  It doesn't seem as though the "Fn" key works before Windows starts.

As an aside, this was a poor design choice.  Why was the keyboard designed like this?  The F1, F2, etc. keys are very important and should of course be prominent and easily accessible.

Thanks.

All you need to do is press F2 a few times after powerup, before WIndows begins loading.  Note:  if you have a password setup in BIOS, the option to get in may be disabled by the administrator.
