Adding older hard drive to Studio 1735
I am trying to add my 60 gb hard drive from my inspiron 6000 laptop to my second hard drive bay in my studio 1735. I purchased the caddy and interposer kit from dell but the interposer doesn't work with the older drive. I am not verycomputer savy. The second hard drive has pins as a connector which reminds me of some older hard drives I have seen for desktop computers. the interposer that came with the kit almost looks like two seperated slots. Am I out of luck or is there a fix. What can I give you to make this question clearer?

You cannot use the drive. The new system accepts only SATA drives, and the 6000 drive is EIDE - completely incompatible. You can use the drive by mounting it in a USB 2.0 external case, but you can't use it internally.
