Adminstrator Problems
Can someone help? All of a sudden my Inspirion 6000 wont recognise me as the admin of laptop. I log in using same name and password, but when I goto download updates or IE7, I get this message......

To install updates from this website, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group on your computer. If you use Windows XP, you can see if you are an administrator by going to User Accounts in Control Panel. ......
I tried ti install the new 3.1 Dell support and got the message....only admins can run programs.... I am the admin, when I goto Control Panel/User groups I cant access anything or delete my guest account. What is going on here?

It's nothing to do with your laptop, but Windows itself.

Notice you're using IE7. Check Microsoft website for updates on XP SP2. Noticed there was an update foe IE7 users that had something to do with HTTP authorization verification (or something or other...)
