After computer work, wireless problems ---Please help!
I took my Inspiron e1505 apart today and I replaced a broken fan. The fan works, but since putting my computer back together, the wireless only works when the computer is in very close proximity to the router. This was never an issue before, but happened in two separate places with separate wireless connections today. Is there any chance that I could have damaged/incorrectly reassembled something to cause this problem?

Check you have the white and black cables on the wireless card firmly inserted (and in the right place). It sounds as though one of them might be slightly loose, they are quite hard to push in.

Also make sure the wireless card is seated properly. It clicks in to the slot and is held by two tabs at the top. You can access the wireless card easily by setting the keyboard aside without having to disassemble it again, but I too would think it is due to the wired connection.
