Alienware 18 Drivers
Good day,
I have a question, and an issue I believe worth mentioning. The simple one is, I have Killer Network Manager with no in-app updates; is Killer suite the new version?
Secondly, when I am updating drivers via Dells utility software, I receive 2 updates:
-Chipset |Intel Management Engine Interface Driver
-Chipset |Intel Lynx Point HM87 Driver
The utility downloaded and applied the driver; I re-checked for any additional drivers afterwards, and these 2 continue to show up. Is there any solution to that?
I appreciate any help, Shadow

Hi Shadow,
For the latest killer drivers - depending on your killer card - you could check the version on the vendor site of qualcomm. If you post the exact model, I can provide the exact link if available.
The chipset drivers are usually not updated very often by Dell as they are applicable for specific motherboards. So, I would advise you to ignore them, unless you have an issue that requires you to reinstall them on the system.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply, I have the E2200. The past week I have been having lag in a game called League of Legends. I had my brother play a game on a desktop beside me and he had no lag at all. I heard of other users having this issue and I was not aware of it when buying. I also have steam crashing frequently. Any ideas? I have updated all my drivers to its latest.
Thanks, Shadow

Update:
I did a game test using a wired connection and had no issues. I am only having issues while on wireless . I also applied the driver from the following site which made no difference.

Hi ShaDoWAsunder,
Apologies for delay in response. I was researching on this bit. Well, since you say the system / game works fine over the ethernet, the issue mainly seems to be with wireless. Can you try this game on any other wireless networks? Or another system with wireless?
Update the BIOS from support.dell.com - http://dell.to/1Pwntme - enter the service tag and select drivers and downloads and run the BIOS update - restart and then check the game again.
I have a steam account myself and I had few crashes with it. However, for some reason, it turned out that steam was crashing due to my video drivers. Could you check the event logs when steam crashes, as to what driver or application might be causing it to crash?
If possible, could you reinstall the video drivers from the vendor site?
Keep us updated.

Hello,
Currently I cannot test it on another network as I am away from it until august 20 with limit connectivity. My BIOS was already updated, and as for steam, I believe it was a game causing the crashes; Terraria. I have uninstalled my Amd drivers multiple times as they jumped drivers pretty fast in a month. I did a complete uninstall followed by installing 15.7 CCC. All systems in my house work fine with the router, so it seems to be the wireless ac card, driver, or settings from my opinion. I heard broadcom usually has driver issues in a few forums, and that some people managed to use different company drivers. I gave this forum quick look, maybe it will provide some ideas.

Sorry for the amount of time I'll be away
Thanks shadow

Hi Shadow,
Thank you for the update.
I shall research on the link you have provided for more relevant info. I would also advise you to try installing an older and more stable version of the driver, as of late amd drivers are crashing more often. Or try the beta driver if possible from the vendor site.
You can contact us anytime you are back(after Aug 20), we shall help you further as possible and help resolve the issue.
If you prefer, you could also contact us via Twitter - @alienwaretech for faster communication.

Hello,
I found the main issue to the lag, which turned out to be bluetooth. I did not physically have any connected devices, however after I disabled it in the settings my laptop ran much more smooth. I still get very minor lag but I believe that to be server side.

Hi Shadow,
Thank you for the update.
Interesting take that bluetooth was infact causing the lag and for steam to crash. Did you by chance manage to reinstall the BT drivers or you chose to disable it regardless? Anyway, as long as your system is working fine, I am glad you managed to get it working.
