Annoying keyboard in latitude E6440

Hi everybody, 

I got a Latitude E6440 and I am loving it but there is this something that is driving me COMPLETELY INSANE. I need a keyboard with backlight since I work in an environment with little light. I thought that the keyboard of the Latitude was perfect, until I discovered that even when you set it at the brightest of configurations, the light goes off after 2 seconds. So here I am trying to work and watching a light appear and disappear in my face every 2 seconds. This is completely ruining for me since it makes no point to have such distraction instead of a proper keyboard that enables me to do my work better

I already looked at every configuration and every piece of software that Dells puts at our disposition but nothing works. Do you know how can I configure this ridiculous keyboard to JUST STAY WITH THE LIGHT ON
