annoying problem with touchpad light

I Have XPS 15 L501X, and I have a problem with touchpad light and notification on the screen related to.

There is a on/off button provided for touchpad on the keyboard which you can activate or deactivate with.

When I press the on/off button to deactivate touchpad, light comes on, and I see notifcation on the screen - touchpad activated.

Same situation in other way, when I activate touchpad, light goes off and I see message - touchpad deactivated.

It's not such a big problem, but it's very annoying.

Can anyone help me to fix that abnormal functionality?

raru,

I thinkl that's what it's supposed to do. It's turning on the light to show it's disabled and it's also notifying you on the screen. I really didn't know what the orange light was for until i tried the button.

Hello Rick,

In my case both, light and notification appears wrong.

When I activate touchpad, there is a message: "touchpad deactivated", and when I deactivate touchpad, there is a message: "touchpad activated"

So it's the other way round!

I'm not sure how it should be with light, but I know how I want to have it: touchpan on = light on, touchpad off = light off, and correct notification on the screen.

How I can change that?

Without shouting about it, I, too, would like the sense of the touchpad light to be reversed. I want the light on when the touchpad is on, and vice versa. Is there any way to accomplish this? I have an XPS L702X.
