Anti Aliasing

A program I have is having trouble with video. Their tech-support recommends turning off anti-aliasing. How do I turn off "Full Screen Anti-aliasing" for my video card (Radeon 9000)?

By default, AA is not enabled. To check however, goto the Display Properties (via the Control Panel). Click on the Settings tab and then select the advanced button. Look for either a DirectX button or a 3D button (will depend on what drivers you are using. From the 3D/DirectX tab, you should see the option for Anti-Aliasing. Like I said, by default it should be on application preference. If it set on application prefence, you'll have to figure out if the application even uses AA (doubtful) and how to disable it elsewhere.

Well, I diddled with that setting, turned it off, turned it back on... that particular program started working again.

However, I had another program where their tech support had said it was designed for 16 bit color which has also been giving me trouble in video mode. So, I also diddled with the 16 vs 32 bit color setting. That problem was not fixed, and now I can't set it back to 32 bit even though I set it and restart. After restart it's always in 16 bit mode. An ATI error report popped up after the first restart.

It's a little annoying because there is has caused some faint pink speckling.
