It's been two days and I'm having the same problem with my 5160. When I turn on the laptop, the fan seems to run for a second and then it shuts down immeditaly with nothing showing up on the screen. What's going on? I've tried it with and without the battery/ac and it's still the same. Yesterday I was able to get it up and logon to the desktop but then it quickly shut down. That was the last time I was able to get on. What do you think it might be causing this issue? Please, any help will be great...Thanks!
I have a 5150 and have been reading the forum. I have the same problem as most as first my battery wouldnt charge and now I get the a/c adapter not recognized message on power up. Seeing how some people needed a new mb, should I go ahead and get this fixed? I believe I am still under some warranty as I am under rapid response depot. Not sure exactly if that means they will fix my problem or if I will have to pay. Just wondering what I should do. Thanks.
