Hi! The issue could be with the motherboard, or the battery itself. Power off the laptop and remove the adapter and then unplug the battery. Plug the battery back and check if its getting detected now. You cal also check the functionality of the battery. There are 5 light indicators available on the battery itself. Press the battery icon on the battery and check which all lghts turn up. Let me know if this helps.
