Battery or Charger problem
I have n4050 laptop that was working fine for 2 years. Recently i encountered a problem.
1. Some times its charging works absolutely fine.
2. Sometimes it says plugged in but not charging.
3. If i remove the charger and re-plug it systems suddenly go off.
4. I have to let the system off for 10 mints or so then it starts working fine.
What is causing the problem?
Charger? Battery? or Voltage issues?
Please help me figure out this.
Thanks

Hi Mussadiq Shakir,
Visually inspect the AC adapter and cables for damage and test with a known good AC adapter if one is available. The links below have useful information on troubleshooting and resolving the issue you are facing.

Please update the BIOS to the latest version by clicking on this link: http://dell.to/Hg9dPK
Click on this Youtube link for a video on how to update your Dell PC's BIOS in 99 Seconds: http://dell.to/1fGmlNu
Follow instructions mentioned below prior to the BIOS update:
Note: Plug your computer to a good, working wall jack before you update the BIOS. If you experience a loss of AC power or a significant voltage sag/spike during the BIOS flash, you will either have to replace the BIOS chip or motherboard.
Please keep us posted on the results.
Thanks & regards,
