Battery or Power Supply

Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop about 1.5 years old.

About 2 months ago, the laptop battery appeared not to hold a charge and could only run about 1 minute on battery. Recently, it started holding a charge for about 30-60 minutes. Now it appears to not be holding a charge at all. Unfortunetly for me, the battery is not on the Recall list. How can I be certain this is a battery problem and not a power supply problem?

This battery is not part of Recall or updated recall - F5133

Have you heard anything about Batteries.com? They have a replacement battery through Amazon.com for $72 with 2 year warranty vs. $108 from Dell

18 months is about normal for a battery.  You need a replacement.
