bios A12

I have bios A11 on my dell and i wanted to know if it's worth upgrading to the A12 bios ?

While i have had bios A11 running on my pc , I got some weird power management message in a black screen once when i rebooted ..Did anybody also get that message with A11 ?

Which laptop model?

The changes are usually mentioned in the download area.  Does it say anything about Power Management fixes?

I have a E1505 and it mentions the following fixes for bios A12 -

1. Update unsupported/unknown AC Adpator message.

2. Update battety warning message.

Sounds like it might be related.  I updated to A12 on my E1505 with no problems.

I was running the Dell "Readiness" (for Vista) tool. I'm still running XP Pro at the moment. It told me that I had an A05 BIOS and should update to a newer one when I'm ready. Based on my service tag (for an Inspiron E1505, Core Duo), it told me that the A08 version was the right one for my system. But there's are newer ones, all the way up to A13. I don't updates BIOSes at the drop of a hat (high risk) and wondered what version Dell was actually recommending. .....A05 = what the Readinesss tool told me I have .....A07.EXE MM061A08.EXE = recommended update (for Vista) based on service tag .....A12.EXE MM061A13.EXE = latest one on the Dell website

That's interesting. Earlier today the link from my service tag number showed the A08 BIOS. I did a chat about A05/A08/A12/A13 and was basically told "they're all wonderful, none will cause any problems" (chat obviously doesn't read the forums...). I just popped in again and *now* my tag shows A13 as the recommended BIOS update for my e1505. Hmm...
