My system is asking me for "Enter System Password". I never placed any password in BIOS. After entering the few backdoor or Default password it is giving me error ,showing me "Service Tag   6MZ0FL1" and PPID  CN03C6YH7016606H000GA00"  and after this shuts off. It is not giving me chance to boot from any media.

So, I am stuck here.Plzzzzzz Help me out.

---Model-  Inspiron N5010

---BIOS vs A15

Methods ii tried-----

1- Removal of battery And CMOS battery for 24 hrs.

2- Insertion of Some backdoor passwords of AMI  and Dell . But out of luck.

Thanks

Call Dell with verification of system ownership.  If the system was purchased used and the seller can't provide the password, return the system for a refund.

Google or whatever-Password reset software iso.  Once you get the iso file downloaded, it should be free the one I use was, burn it to CD. Once you've got that done load it into the dvd/cd drive and boot from the drive. The file will have an Linux os and all the necessary software to reset all passwords on your system. It shouldn't harm your HD, never has on any of the many laptops or desktops I've repaired for folks. You may have to play around with it a little, there are no easy to follow instructions included all though read what there is on the disk. If you follow closely they will work but are a little confusing. Good Luck

This will do nothing for the password in BIOS setup, which is the subject of the question in the thread.

You CAN use it to clear a lost Windows password - but NOT a BIOS-level password.
