BIOS pausing on Latitude
I Have a Latitude D500 (512 MB RAM, WXP PRO with SP2, BIOS rev A05) with the following problem: at start up the BIOS sometimes pauses more or less at the end of the sequence and even stops indefinitely. In this case I have to switch off and switch on again. This situation happens more frequently if the Lap Top is powered from the power adapter (on the battery it does not happen) and if some USB device (for example the Mouse) is connected. On Dell Support suggestion, I tried to use another power adapter (still for the same model of Latitude) but without any result. Some time I have to switch off and on many times and in these cases the loading of OS is slower than usual. Any suggestion?
Thanks
Giampaolo

You might get a better response if you posted your message on the Latitude BIOS forum rather than the Dimension (desktop) forum.
