Booting to USB drive?

I have an older Latitude (the label says "Latitude C Family"; I'm not sure of any more specific model name), and I'm trying to get it to boot from a SanDisk Cruzer USB flash drive. I have the most recent BIOS version (A16), but I can't get it to display any USB options in the boot order menu. Is there anything I can do to get the BIOS to boot from the Cruzer (I have already put a boot partition and proper files on it)?

Thanks...

Right and you won't. That series notebook does NOT support booting from the USB port no matter what is connected to it, floppy drive or flash card.

Bummer - I was afraid of that. Do you happen to know of a list of which Latitude models _can_ boot from the USB port?

Only the newer D series and even then some of the oder D series don't.
