I just purchased a used Inspiron 8200 for my first laptop. In checking to see if everything works, I've run into a problem that I hope someone can help me with.

 

The dialup modem works fine, but can't connect with my DSL. I use SBC DSL and when I tried to install the software, it says it can't find the networking card. I successfully use this setup on a Dimension 8300 so I know the DSL modem and cable is good.

 

The Inspiron's Device Manager confirms that the system recognizes the networking card and says it is working properly. Anyone have suggestions?
