Can mouse wake up computer in Windows 10??

In previous versions of Windows there was a setting to allow your mouse to wake up the computer from Sleep mode.  I can't find such a setting in Windows 10.  Does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations.

Been a while since you posted but I've found a solution and thought I'd share as lots of people are facing this issue after upgrading to win10. There's an option in BIOS settings to enable USB wake support under the power management section on my dell laptop. I imagine other computer manufacturers have a similar function but not all HP laptops do apparently.

Also, you can check devices listed using this:

Thanks for the response, but I tried this in Windows 10 and don't have "Power Management" as a choice.  Nor do I find anywhere to make this change.  The choices I have under properties are "General", "Drivers", "Details" and "Events."

Any other thoughts?

Hi,

I have the same issue as Dennis: my Windows 10 Dell laptop will only wake up from sleep after keeping the power button pushed for a really long time, like 10 sec or more. I would like it to wake up when I move the mouse or press a key, but (like Dennis) I don't have this 'Power management' choice via Device manager.

I don't think this last response (disable wake timers) is an answer to that question...

Any suggestion on how I can wake up my laptop from sleep mode more easily?

Many thanks!

Stijn

also dell apls touch pad driver doesnt have one finger scrolling or circal scrolling any more.

I have spent many hours tring to get these features back.

Mr Robin - same problem, mouse and key ticked already. No problem with pressing the main button instead, just question :is it normal, or by doing that we dive too deep ? (I mean do we wake up or switch it on second time ? - I feel as if I switch on an ignition of a car with an engine running  )

Has anyone had any luck with this?  I can't make it change to wake up with the mouse or keyboard.  Only power button.  What a pain.... You don't know if the PC is on or asleep.

I just got a Dell XPS with Windows 10. Initially the issue was that desktop would not go to sleep.  Updated Wndows 10 with latest (1703); also adjusted power management in setup/system/power & sleep by disabling hibernation and hybrid. Now computer will go to sleep but not wake up to mouse or keyboard.

Twos areas to work on:

1) go to device manager; keyboard/mouse; power management; allow this device to wake computer

2) Bios adjustment mentioned above. Can get to Bios in reboot phase or through Windows -
