Can't Disable Touchpad
I have a new Dell Inspiron 15 3543 that I bought yesterday. I made sure to do all the updates including Windows updates, Dell updates, driver updates, etc to get everything up to date (followed by the appropriate reboots). I have a Logitech wireless USB mouse installed. The issue is when I go into the Dell Touchpad setting and select to disable the touchpad when mouse is connected it does NOT disable the touchpad. I CAN disable it by going into the hardware settings and disabling the driver there, however, I don't want to complete disable it because I want the touchpad to work if I forget my mouse at home. How do I get the touchpad disabled but still re-enable when the mouse isn't connected?

Hi MBehan,
I also could not figure out how to disable the Dell Touchpad on my Precision laptop, and it was driving me mad. The FN+F5 hotkey did not respond at all, and *I thought* that disabling the touchpad through the Dell Touchpad interface was not working. However, after spending hours with Dell technicians, I discovered that there is a blue "Save" button in the upper right-hand corner of the Dell Touchpad interface. I didn't notice it there before! Did you remember to click "Save" after clicking the "Disable" switch?
