Checking Minimum System Requirements
Hello,
i find that when i buy a PC game it doesn't work, due to some requirements that i apparently don't have. My PC is only 2 months old so i find it odd that my system could be lacking modern components,
I'm looking to buy a game and as part of the system requirements it says:
"DirectX 9.0b Compatible 3D accelerated 32 MB video card or equivalent "
now how do i know that i have this component.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
Greg.

Also, if you click on start, then click run and type "dxdiag" it will give you a brief overview of your system specifications. Now for the display adaptor info you can click on the "display" tab which is next to the initial tab that opens up when you launch the program.

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/my_systems_info/en/details?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~tab=2
and type in your serial number, it will tell you what your system came with as far as a video card.

Please note that generally it isn't the number of MB (the amount of memory that you video card uses/has got) that determines graphics performance, but the graphics chip itself.
Could you please post what game it is that you try to run?

0% :-(
Fifa 2005 will require at least a 32 MB graphics accelerator, and even this would not do the game justice; i.e. it will default to all graphics settings to minimum; trying to turn them up will make the game too choppy and unplayable.
With integrated grahics like you have, the game may not even load, let alone play.
You are not even close, my friend :-(

If you read my post correctly, you will not find that I said that games don't run at all. It remains a fact that the integrated graphics solutions are much slower than even low end dedicated graphics chips.
That said, enjoy playing fifa 2005.
