Close cover on D600 without sleep (revised)

Is there any way to close the cover on a Latitude D600 without it going into standby mode? I want the display to turn off when the cover is closed but I want the pc to keep running. What I'm trying to do is access my laptop remotely from my desktop while at work using something like PCanywhere (actually I'm using VNC). I want to be able to close the cover on the laptop but when I do it goes into standy mode. Is there anyway to prevent that?

Right click on your desktop and choose "Properties"

Click on the "Screen Saver" tab

Near the bottom of the Screen Saver tab, there should be a button labeled "Power...", click on it

On the Power Options Properties box, click on the "Advanced" tab

Where it says "When I close the lid of my portable computer:", choose "Do Nothing" from the dropdown box, then click on OK and then OK again.

Now, when you close your lid, the screen will turn off, but the OS will keep going (i.e. it won't go to sleep).
