Computer freezes at Dell logo screen
I have an Inspiron 1300 with Windows XP. My system will not go beyond the Dell logo screen when I try to boot it. The white bar at the bottom of the screen moves about a quarter and then freezes.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try reseating the hard drive. If that doesn't work, remove the hard drive - will the system then POST to a BIOS boot screen (f2)? If so, the hard drive is faulty.
If not, the mainboard is bad.
