Computer powering down while playing WOW
I recently turned my WoW account back on and have attempted to start playing it on my dell laptop. I have a Inspiron 17 (N7010) with Windows 8, upgraded from Windows 7, I have also changed the hard drive from the default HDD to a 1TB HDD, Also I upgraded the memory from 6GB to 8GB. However even with all these improvements, my computer still powers down after anywhere from a couple of hours, and sometimes less than 30 minutes of playing WoW. I do not run the game on the highest graphics settings, and eventhough I do not have that great of a video card, it was still running at 96 fps during my last session. Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on?

Run the full diagnostics from Dell's Support site then www.dell.com/.../ukdhs1

How old is it now? Open it up and give the vents, fan and heatsink a good clean. Re-apply thermal paste. Update the BIOS to latest release. Consider using a cooling pad too.

Random shutdowns, specifically when playing games, can be caused by overheating. Are the shutdowns accompanied by BSOD's or other error messages?
You can also try a hardware diagnostic inc extended memory test by booting to F12 and choose Diagnostics. Post back any error codes

No error messages when shutting down, but now I have a different problem. Whenever I try to hit F12 while the computer is starting freezes the computer and it just sits there....I did download the latest bios though even though I do not think it was an "update" for me since it has not been updated since 2011...what next?
