crackling sound...WHY!!! PLEASE HELP
To whom it may concern,
ok i have a inspiron 1525 but whenever im listening to music i always have a crackling/popping sound and its very annoying, its always when im watching movies or listening to music on itunes....I need to get rid of this cause I like clear sound. IF someone can help me that would be amazing!!! its like there is a staggering sound i have no clue but thanks in advance

I have a similar problem perhaps this might help you if you have a similar problem.
Hi I a similar problem. I have static / buzzing which quite painful to listen to. I can't wear headphones with the laptop for too long. After looking around the internet I found that it appears as though the sound is in some way interference not related to being plugged in or not that comes into the audio jacks. The crackling and changes in the sound can sometimes be related to the CPU changing states as it up and down clocks dynamically to save power etc (I found that the buzzing and crackling will change when I change the power settings of the laptop).
I have an inspiron 1420.
I found that the crackling sound can also be heard either through the speakers or coming from the computer itself I can't tell and it doesn't seem related to the sound settings or volume I have things at, in fact when I have headphones on it doesn't go away when you put the computer on mute or anything. You can try to minimize the sound (or so I found) by using a program called RMclock to block the CPU from changing power states to something called C4. I don't really know this stuff but that's what I found however the noise is still there and your battery life drops. Overall this is very frustrating and doesn't seem to be isolated only to the inspiron 1420 line.
