Crash : Blue screen with my E7240 - WIndows 7 64bits

Hi

Please help, when I plug USB device sometimes a blue screen appear and I have to reboot in safe mode and reboot in normal mode to work normally.

My config : 

  • DELL Latitude E7240
  • Processor : Core i7 4600U
  • RAM 8Go
  • HD 250Go
  • OS : Windows 7 64 bits

Hey hajapim,

Thanks for the post! With the 7E error it’s possible this is the result of corrupt/damaged device driver. I would suggest completely uninstalling, then reinstalling the drivers associated with the USB device in question along with reinstalling the systems chipset drivers from our support site: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/latitude-e7240-ultrabook/drivers

Also, if you’ve not already would you be able to test the device on another system to make sure it is working correctly?
