critical_process_died error on new win8 laptop

I got my new inspiron 15z laptop 5 days ago and everything went perfectly fine until today my McAfee Security Center asked me to reboot in order to take care of some security issue. I didn't pay much attention to it and shut down my laptop... and now the trouble starts: when I start my laptop I'm always getting the blue screen after loading which is telling me that the device will be rebooted due to an "critical_process_died" issue, after the rebooting i'm getting stuck on the same bluescreen and so on. Tried to enter bios and the diagnostics tell me that hardware and everything else is working fine, the automatical repairs weren't able to solve the problem though.

Any kind of help is very much appreciated!!!

Hi srh11,

This appears to be a bug and you may have to perform few troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.
Please logon to windows in safe mode and perform a windows update. Please refer to below link on how to log in safe mode.

The problem is that i can't get to the windows login screen at all - the  bluescreen appears right after the dell loading screen.

Hi srh11,

Please try the below steps and revert.

1) Kindly remove the Battery, the AC Adapter and any other devices connected to the system. Press and hold the power button continuously for 30 seconds to release the Flea Power.

2) Switch on the system by holding FN+Power so that the Built in Diagnostics can be run on the system to determine any hardware issues.

Also provide the system service tag through a private message. I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag so I may check the region/country from where the system was purchased and assist you accordingly. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

I have the same problem, I cannot get to safemode in windows 8, the only thing it lets me into is f12 and f2 for boot menu and setup menus.  This is BS, One advise was to use shift f8 on re-boot, does not work,  so I need some help.
