D520 resolution fall back on Vista

I have a new D520 with Vista Ultimate and AERO enabled. The system working fine with one exception:

My screen resolution often changes automatically from 1024 * 768 to 800 * 600 in various cases (not always):
I undock or dock my notebook
I connect or remove external projector
Wake up system from standby or from hibernate (after login).

The LCD always flash for sort second and goes to lower resolution.
I have installed the latest drivers and BIOS updates. No other issue I have with Vista.

Can anybody help me?

I have a D420 and experience the same issue after the computer sleeps.  I too have the latest drivers.

I also use the latest Intel provided drivers on my D420. This definitely increased video performance, but did not fix the resolution fall back problems.

I have the D520.  The video driver from Dell and that comes with Windows Update is terrible.  I downloaded the driver fro the G945GM from Intels web site.  It works GREAT!   Games play great.  Before my video driver crashed a lot.  Since I loaded the Drivers from Intel It has not crashed once.

Download the drivers from Intel.

Run the setup It will Fail.   But you must watch where it unzips the files for install.

After Setup gives you an error.  Close it and go to the Device Manager and manually update the Vidoe Driver.  Point to where the files were unzipped.  The driver will update.   DON'T Let Windows Update replace the driver.  Windows Update will put back the broken driver.
