D600 - s-video
I have a latitude D600, and i'm trying to get the S-video output to work, however I purchased an s-video cable, but not sure if its the right one, which one do I need and where can I get it from.
I basically want to record my digital camera movies which i have edited onto my laptop and then into a dvd recorder. someone please help

The s-video port is an output only. You cannot record to the computer from it....

thats strange I thought it had to be a 7 PIN DIN s-video cable.
Do I need to adjust the settings somewhere in the laptop then.

Any standard s-video cable will work. Keep in mind that you'll also need an audio cable from the D600's line out jack to the DVD recorder.

Dell does offer a (non-standard) 7 pin s-video/audio breakout cable. But any standard s-video will work. And it's cheaper....

You have to have the latest Radeon drivers. Make sure the s-video is connected to the external monitor BEFORE you boot up the system. THen activate it by using the Display Properties, Advanced, Displays Tab (ATI)....

Hello,
I have the Latitude D600 and trying to connect to the TV using the S-Video output.But the standard S-Video cable comes with only four pins.Do we have the 7 PIN S-video cable available? but my TV has only 4 pins.Your earliest reponse is appreciated.
